❤
Appreciate that!
💗💗💗💗
I’m so glad u have these replays ty all❤
Physical touch is definitely one of mine. In case anyone couldn’t tell by my becoming a Massage Therapist 😂 It’s also, ironically, the one thing that seems to have been what I’ve received the least in intimate relationships without it being sexualized. I’ve primarily been the one to initiate the cuddling, back rubs and holding hands or just being in proximity like a hand on the shoulder or back. If we’re sitting together, I’m resting my hand on their thigh. It’s automatic for me to be affectionate that way, and I can tend to feel rejected if I’m initiating all of that. I won’t stop doing it because I’m not getting it as much, but it definitely makes me feel wanted and appreciated to have it.
Thank you for sharing that! It’s been something I’ve had to work on too. Teresa’s secondary language is physical touch, and it’s not one of my love languages, but I’ve gotten better at it!!
@@modernleadership that feels more accurate to say secondary language. Probably even primal! Lol 😂 I do say energy is all our first language even if we forget that as we grow and learn so many different ways people communicate, especially ones we don’t like lol 🫣 the unfortunate part is we can cut ourselves off from things we really do like protecting ourselves from things we don’t because we have an incredible capacity for adaptation and numbing pain sensation or the potential of it. It’s awesome that this means so much to you to understand and be mindful of! I’m sure she loves that in ways she might not even know how to put into words! But will show you in her own actions and the way she touches you! Things like this always remind me of the Grandmother Willow song from Pocahontas when she’s teaching her to hear the meaning of her dreams and John beyond language differences, “Listen with your heart, you will understand.”
For sure! I initially thought the same…. I’ve come to find the “love” languages still apply, just more within the realm of showing them appreciation than love.
That's very relatable for intimate partners, not sure about close friends and family.
Yes, ty for adding to my reading list.
lol always Julie!!!
😮
I just realize that love is not something we do for ourselves but for someone else. Great insight thanks for sharing
You are so welcome!

Oprah is the 4.0 of Jeffrey Epstein and PDididy. Obama chef did not kill himself Expose them all
The “AND” is so powerful. Even when it comes to doing something about what is broken, wrong, or missing. We just can’t spend ALL our time there in order to do anything about those things. It’s the window of tolerance principle like addressing trauma healing, or just continuing to lean in without backing down and bringing all the &’s and possibilities into the dark with you. I’ve heard the midcingulate cortex in our brain grows every time we do something we don’t want to or we thought was impossible. It turns creating new neural pathways into a few hours to days process of happening instead of 28 days that it typically takes. Play is key in speeding up what otherwise requires pure “muscle” repetition. 🌻🖤🌻
Love this so much!! We still do Mad Libs as a family. ❤ I sent this to my husband!
